But with care, pride and a respect for the craft that has quietly defined our industry for generations.

MATTHEW POWNEY

Precision. Integrity. Craft.
Matt’s journey in the kitchen world began in 2001. From independents to MFI and Magnet. Later nearly two decades managing Howdens Nuneaton and Coventry, he built a reputation for precision, integrity and a genuine commitment to doing things properly.
As the industry shifted toward profit over people, Matt felt increasingly frustrated. Customers were being let down. Quality was becoming optional. He knew there had to be a better way. That’s where The Kitchen Specialists began.
Today, Matt is the technical foundation of every project.
Reviewing and refining every design
Overseeing the warehouse and quality control
Ensuring deliveries arrive complete and on time
Maintaining long‑standing supplier relationships
Managing operations, problem‑solving and reporting
Overseeing all kitchen and bedroom installations
If a design carries Jodie’s vision, it carries Matt’s assurance that it will work & stand the test of time.
Beyond the office Matt enjoys
Family days out with his two sons Brandon & Callum, a well‑tended BBQ and the unmistakable sound of MotoGP.
JODIE SEAL

Creativity. Clarity. Heart.
Jodie’s design career began in 2012 as a kitchen designer for Howdens, where her instinct for detail and her ability to truly understand customers quickly set her apart. Awards followed, recognition for both her creativity and her care.
But as the industry grew louder and faster, Jodie saw too many customers being let down. She believed kitchens deserved more time, more thought and more honesty.
The Kitchen Specialists became her answer.
Today, Jodie is the creative heartbeat of the business:
Lead designer on every project
On‑site visits and design presentations
Guiding customers from first sketch to final sign‑off
Blending bold ideas with lived‑in practicality
Bringing warmth, clarity, and confidence to every stage
Working directly with suppliers to stay ahead of materials, colours and design trends
Her work is defined by one simple belief: a kitchen should feel personal, purposeful and deeply loved.
Beyond the Design Studio Jodie enjoys
Weekends away with family and friends, long walks in the great outdoors, especially with Luna the Lab. Laptop never far from reach. Jodie is often found refining kitchen designs even while camping.
CORAL BAKER
Customer Service • Purchasing • Operations

With a long and successful background in the KBB industry, Coral joined The Kitchen Specialists in 2025 seeking a more meaningful connection to the customers she served.
Calm, meticulous and quietly indispensable, Coral ensures the business runs with the same care we put into every design:

In a small team, every detail matters and Coral is the person who ensures none are ever overlooked.
Beyond the office Coral enjoys
Spending time with family & friends. Travelling the world, with Thailand holding a special place in her memories.
